Rare Vintage Talis Automatic Super Compressor Divers Wristwatch 1968

Super Rare Vintage Talis Automatic Super Compressor Divers Wristwatch. I can only find a handful of these Talis Super Compressor Watches online. We can date this Watch to 1968, using the marks inside the caseback "4-68", meaning the 4th quarter of 1968. Calibre ETA 2472 25 Jewels Automatic Movement with Date function. The Movement is wonderful and clean whilst ticking away strongly and keeping Excellent time.

Superb 24 Hour Tritium Dial, the Dial is in very good order for it's age. Signed "Swiss Made T" for the presence of the Tritium. This is the original Untouched Dial that left the Talis factory in 1968, a bit of wear is completely acceptable, it's a pleasure to see a vintage Dial that has been left completely untouched. This is NOT a Redial. Inner Rotating 60 minute Bezel, this bezel is controlled using Upper Crown on the Case.

Again this is the Original Bezel and is in good order. Solid Chunky Stainless Steel "Super Compressor" Case, fully signed inside the caseback with the Divers helmet. The case is in nice Vintage condition, with a few age related marks but nothing major at all, this Case is original and polished. Original Crowns, the bottom one has some chrome wear but nothing overly Major.

The Bottom crown is used to wind and set the Watch, the Upper is used to control the inner bezel. Original Hands in very good order. Overall, what a superbly designed Wristwatch, it's not hard to see why these Super Compressor Watches are one of the hottest properties on the Vintage Wristwatch market.
