1963 Fender Brownface Speaker Cabinet 2x12 VINTAGE CAB unloaded SUPER RARE
They dont make them like this any more! Up for sale is a SUPER rare 63 Fender 2x12 speaker cabinet (unloadedno speakers). Everything looks original to me, even includes the speaker harness and insulation battons! It measures 32 wide x 20 tall x 11.5 deep. It is 25 between the mounting screws (screws are believed to be reissues) and includes the original kickback legs.
This was the mate to a 63 Bandmaster head if I recall properly, but could have been a baseman... As you can see, this thing has seen the world!
In my day, I toured with it, and it looks like it has taken ATLEAST a few laps around the globe! Obvious road wear for a 55 year old cabinet! You can see several scuffs (especially on the bottom seam) and wear on the telex. I never "cleaned" it so it could be made much more "new" if you wanted to take the time... I frankly love the way it looks.You'll also notice that the top part of the "d" in the fender logo was knocked off... The rest is there and stable. I encourage you to CLOSELY inspect the pictures so you can see its worn, but good condition. Only issue I can see is that a previous owner had some speakers rip into the baffle board and wear out a few of a screw holes. There are atleast 4 good screws on each side I had my celestions mounted in it and it sounded AMAZING!
