CITIZEN PROFESSIONAL 1300 METER QUARTZ DIVER VINTAGE (SUPER RARE), CIRCA 1982s, VERY GOOD CONDITION. Starting from the middle of 70s to 80s were the quartz watch world whereby many watch company had been starting to produce their own quartz in order to compete with each other, especially in Japan. During that period, there were many research had been conducted, hence resulting with many high end precision quartz movements were available. Because of the time on the research and cost spent for producing Quartz movement, quartz watches are more even more expensive than high end mechanical automatic watches in that era.

Besides that, most of high end quartz movement was housed in the unique design and yet expensive materials case such as gold, titanium, or even platinum. CITIZEN 1300m diver was equipped with 1251 caliber and house with very unique square titanium case. It was very rare to have titanium case watch in that era as it was still high in price. Besides that, the left handed design was also very unusual.

With the release of 1300m, CITIZEN had again pushed the limit of their diving watch to another level. The tightness case design has allowed this watch to be able to sustain saturation diving without the need of helium valve. SEIKO only come out with 1000m Tuna in 1986.

Despite the age that may fall into the vintage category, CITIZEN 1300m diver were very rare available today due to it was a very expensive watch in that era, which is over 100K yen. Besides, it was also very difficult to get one in such a nice mint condition. The CITIZEN 1300m Diver reference 1251 is the highest range diver ever produced in 1980s. The unique left-handed crown design case equipped with the unique function captive bezel clearly shown that it was designed as the Strong yet durable tool watch. A touch of Gilt Printing further enhances the look to raise the luxury feel of the watch.

The sign of wear is very less despite it is a hard-core professional diver watch. The Titanium case has only some hairlines scratches, however there are no deep scratches or nick on the case. The case is still maintaining very sharp edges and genuine polishing though it has over 30 years old age watch. This watch come in a very good condition, but it is NOT 100% perfect and there is no such thing as perfect for over 30 years old pre-owned watch.

Our theme is focusing on originality. The matte black dial is in very good condition and there is no sign of wear despite the age.

It is completely original (No Re-Lume or Re-Dial). It is very clean dial with Gold (Gilt) colour printing. The use of Gold Printing on the dial combined with gold markers by CITIZEN has the intention to represent this watch as the highest end, highest quality built, and most luxury deep diving watch during that period.

The Gold Hands are still preserved perfectly with no sign of rusty. Overall, the condition of the hand-sets are superb and in 100% genuine condition. There is no Re-lume at all. CITIZEN Calibre 1251 Quartz Movement is in superb condition and maintaining good time.

Note that the battery has been replaced with a new one. The quick set Day-Date adjustment function and time adjustment function are working perfectly as well. The brushed titanium case is in very mint condition. Very light hairlines scratches on the body and case back are due to previous usage.

However, they are not deep and not conspicuous at all. It is in 100% original factory polishing condition. The brushed polishing on the case is uniquely polished.

This unique method of polishing has the intention to prevent the scratches. The thick mineral crystal condition is in very good condition too and there are only some minor hairline scratches on it.

The thickness of this crystal on this watch is another add on that this watch is designed for depth saturation diving. The crown is very unique as it is on the left hand side. Crown is able to screw in and out smoothly.

It is unsigned screw down crown. The watch has Time Display, Bilingual Day Display, and Date functionalities.

All are good and running perfectly. CITIZEN 1300m diver is equipped with captive bezel with the lock feature to prevent accidental nudge during diving. To rotate the bezel, it will to be pressed down and turn. Bezel Insert is printed with gilt printing and the condition is very mint with only some very hairlines scratches. NO conspicuous or deep scratches found on body. Genuine Citizen 1300m Rubber Strap, which is thick and long suitable for diving suits. Professional Divers name printed as a proof that it is ONLY designed for professional divers. Besides, the strap is also printed with reference table of -decompression limits to be used while diving. Overall, the current condition is still very good with some slight aging. However, it is considered preserved well for such over 30 years old watch. It has proven that the quality of the strap was so great hence able to sustain for many years. The current example of the watch come with genuine wooden CITIZEN 1300m Diver Box.

The condition is still very good with slight aging. It is extremely difficult nowadays to find this watch come with original wooden box. As this is vintage watch, there is no guarantee for the watch being waterproof.
