RARE VGC Vintage BOTTECCHIA Columbus SL Road bike Shimano DURA ACE 7400 51cm. Road bike from the mid 1980s. The bike is is 2x6 speed. This bike has been used and shows minor signs of use.
Definitely rather low milage (simply see the Mavic rims that are completely free of any brake abrasion). The optical condition is very good with only one paint chip on the left side of the top tube. I planned to cover it with nail enamel, but decided to keep it as it is to show you the actual condition. It would definitely be easy to find such a red tone and cover the chip.
Otherwise the paint is in excellent condition with only a few minor scratches. Please see pics and judge yourself.The general optical condition is in my opinion very nice. The frame is made from Columbus SL tubing. The bike has been taken apart, cleaned and rebuilt. Everything works well, it shiftes and brakes well. The tires are new tubulars (Conti Giro).
The bike is generally very clean. Equipped with Shimano Dura Ace 7400 components. The components are all in excellent condition with minor signs of use. From Shimano Dura Ace are. Crankset, front and rear derailleur, shifting levers, headset, bottom bracket, brake calipers and brake levers, hubs + skewers and the pedals. Components from other manufacturers are: Seatpost (Campagnolo Record); Rims (Mavic GP4 in mint condition); t. He saddle (Selle San Marco Turbo); the stem (Cinelli) and the handlebar (Cinelli).Frame size: according to my measuring: 51cm tall (center - center), 52.5cm (center - upper edge seatpost tube); 51.7cm long (center - center). As a description is always influenced by a personal opinion I made plenty of supersize pics that help you to judge the bike yourself. Please see my other auctions!
If you have any other questions, please let me know! I pack well (usually packing a bicycle takes about 1,5 hours), but you never know what happens during transport. I will have to take off the 2 wheels and the pedals and will also have to put the saddle and the handlebar aside the frame tubes. In some cases I will also take off the fork for additional safety of the bike.
All this will be done well wrapped. Please claculate with 1-2 hours for unwrapping and reassembling the bike and be aware that a small gearshift and brakes adjustment after reassembling the bike may be necessary. Sometimes it can also take 6-8 weeks. Carriers I use are the Austrian Post, DHL (large parcels) and sometimes smaller carriers like Hermes and GLS. In your country the parcels will be delivered with a local carrier e.
