Super Rare Vintage 1988 Gibson (Steinberger) Les Paul Studio Lite (player)

Extremely rare 1988 Les Paul Studio Lite. This guitar is from the era when Gibson acquired Steinberger. Not very many were made and they usually came with a vibrato tailpeice which was not a good design and usually failed and had to be replaced.

Luckily this guitar has a fixed bridge which makes it even more rare and desirable. A very unique Gibson and just a cool guitar. It's a player and has seen plenty of action, therefore it has a lot of character. All of it's nicks, scratches, gouges, scuffs, etc. Have been acquired honestly through use. It's a player and it has been played. BODY: Even though it has a carved top, the thickness is more like a Stratocaster therefore lighter than a normal Les Paul. Body has some badass character due to use.

Ebony fingerboard (got some sonic bite) Brass nut! PICKUPS: Here's the really cool part.

This model came with Steinberger pickups that are stacked humbuckers with a coil tap switch. So you can play either single coil or humbucker or switch back and forth. There is a significant difference in the sound between single and humbucker. It's like having a Telecaster and a Les Paul in one guitar, even though you can also get a bit Stratty. BRIDGE: Fixed bridge with some mass and more intonation adjustment than I would ever need. Case: Gibson origanal case with as much character as the guitar. Extremely Rare and Unique 37 Year Old Gibson Badass!
