Super Rare Vintage Bell System Tech Warning Dangerous Gas Porcelain Sign

This vintage BELL SYSTEM sign, measuring 11" x 7", is a rare find in this "New Old Stock" condition! The light rust stains can be easily removed, since it's porcelain, but I left them "as is" so you can make that choice. It's an exceptional find for collectors of communication and utilities memorabilia. This Warning sign is an original piece, made in the United States. It is a great addition to any collection and represents an important part of telephone history.

This sign was hung by chains on one side of manholes to remind the technician to follow the Bell System Practice of putting their gas detector machine down inside to clear it for safe entrance.
