Be sure and check out my other surfing items too. I have a bunch of vintage surfboards for sale too.. Here is a super super rare vintage late 1960s knee board that is translucent as the light shines through it really nice. I bought this board from a collector friend of mine who is very reputable and he told me that this board came from Santa Barbara and may have been made by George Greenough but i have no proof of that. This board is 4 foot 8 1/2 inches tall in size and 21 1/2 inches wide..
All hand layed up on the glass.. Has a little flex in the tail of it too so maybe we can call it a flextail kneeboard.. Its all original and nothing has ever been done to this board since i have owned it.. This is a very cool piece and in good used condition but the fin where it attaches to the board could use a little work as it pulling from the back some.Easy fix with some resin and syrene which would make it disappear. Never seen another one of these as it's been in my collection for about 17 years now and hanging in my surf shop / surf museum.. Time to let her go to another home..
Perfect for the vintage surf collection or display in your home or even restaurant.. Try and find another one....If you do some research and can get it verified and find that this is indeed a Greenough then you have about a twenty thousand dollar board.. Good luck on this rare piece of surfing history. Only 2 of them know to exist right now.
