Here is a VERY RARE figural covered JAR from KENSINGTON - the Depression Era Art & Giftware division of ALCOA (the Aluminum Company of America). This 2-part PEAR Shape piece is called in the company catalog #7421 CROYDON JAM JAR (see photos). The base is clear GLASS and the lid is ALUMINUM with a solid BRASS Stem. This line was designed by famous industrial artist LURELLE GUILD circa 1930s. Measures overall about 6 high.

Unmarked as to maker (as always). A truly RARE Piece for the serious Kensington, Art Deco or MCM collector.
