SUPER RARE Vintage ROCKET White Mountain ELECTRIC 4&6E Ice Cream FREEZER Maker
This unit comes with a RARE woodgrain PLASTIC BUCKET. The label on the electric motor says White Mountain ROCKET FREEZER. I suppose they named it the ROCKET FREEZER because the plastic bucket was very FUTURISTIC at that time period. This is one of very few White Mountain freezers I've seen with the woodgrain Plastic Bucket and Rocket Freezer label. The woodgrain plastic bucket has a built-in integral plastic center point so you never have to worry about it rusting off, and you will NEVER have to worry about this bucket rotting or leaking.
The canister includes a "clear" plastic lid that is pretty cool - it allows you to see the ice cream as it is freezing! This is a COMPLETE SYSTEM and it's ready to go. 13 tall (excluding metal brackets and handle). It does NOT come with the Original Box or the original recipe book / instruction manual.
This wonderful piece of literature is full of history, recipes and operating instructions - see photos. If you've been waiting for a SUPER RARE Vintage White Mountain ROCKET ice cream freezer in very nice condition, this one's for you. You won't regret it. This 4 quart size works very nice for a group of 3 to 5 adults. As you probably know by now White Mountain no longer markets these American legendary Old Fashioned Ice Cream Makers.
Therefore, the demand has gone through the roof for these units that have long been recognized as the highest quality system since 1853. The performance of TRIPLE-MOTION dasher system is second to none. CONDITION: It is USED but I consider it to be very nice overall condition especially considering this is a vintage unit.
You can tell by the appearance the entire system has not seen excessive use. The metal bracket & latch have minimal rust / tarnishing.
The metal carrier & wooden handle are still in very nice condition. Usual scratches, scuffs, paint loss, dings, dents & rust to the motor housing. The motor label says Model 4&6E - it has very good strength/power when I apply heavy pressure to the top of the canister lid. There are expected minor scratches, scuffs, stains, dings, and dents to the plastic bucket.
Minor rust, tarnishing, dings, and dents to the canister as expected. The wooden dasher blades /scrapers look good - no splits or breaks but minor wear to the edges of the scrapers as would be expected. The original label remains on the motor, and it's in nice condition with usual fading and wear.
The original label was missing on the bucket so I applied a durable vinyl reproduction label. The raised TUB CENTER piece on the bottom inside of the bucket looks very good as well. PLEASE VIEW PICTURES CLOSELY FOR DETAILS & CONDITION AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. Making ice cream with these vintage machines is a fun family activity, or a great way to entertain friends any time of the year, winter or summer!
It's also a great collector's piece and will make a nice addition to your collection of vintage ice cream makers. HAND CRANK units especially bring back old memories with your children, just like we remember when we were kids and took turns hand cranking the machine to make that special ice cream prize! Please keep this in mind.
Thank you for your business!
