This is a rarely seen Wagner Ware No. While Griswold made a lot of chuckwagon covered ovens, and Lodge made a ton too, Wagner made relatively few. 10 size is hard to find as vintage Wagner; this oven is a number 9 and even harder to find.
In addition, the pot has the knuckle bail that spreads the bail so the flanged cover won't be knocked off by the bail one of the reasons that Griswold flanged covers often have a divot missing! The pot is marked with the somewhat unusual combination of the Wagner Ware stylized logo WITHOUT pattern number. The legs have been ground away and the interior has some pitting. Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more.
Item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hours. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light.
