The guitar shows its fair share of dings, scratches and other wear throughout, but overall it's solid as a rock. Although very playable, this guitar is listed as a "project" as there are a few things worth noting: (1) t.
He bridge, pickguard and pickguard screws are not original; (2) t. Here is a hairline crack near the lower left side of the back; (3) the ivory-colored binding along the back is slightly off-centered near the bottom / center; (4) some of the frets are worn / oxidized and a couple of the higher frets have cracked; and (5) the pearloid fretboard inlays and pickguard are slightly warped. All thing considered though, this Marwin is in great shape for its age. The finish is still beautiful as is the detailed binding, the tortoiseshell headstock and stenciled lettering are both fantastic, and the tone is to die for.
This guitar comes with its original black faux-alligator skin chipboard case, but it's very tattered and not very protective. In response to several questions I've received, I'm updating this listing to note that t. His guitar does not appear to be stamped "carved" on the inside. The only stamp that I was able to find is "2655H1459" on the inside of the guitar's top and back.
