Observe the beautiful hand lathing. This pair is 70 years old and in remarkably fine structural condition, no cracks or chips. What makes this pair so rare is their excellent condition and their extra thin weights for 15 inch hi hats (781 grams and 828 grams). They have the recording quality sound heard on vintage jazz albums from Verve, Riverside, Prestige, and Blue Note.

The chick is solid and crisp and when played semi-open these hats have a gorgeous dark sizzle. Please note that Zildjian cymbal smiths made this pair during an era in which the bell holes were 7/16 inches, so this pair may not fit on some modern hi hat stands that accommodate the standard 1/2 inch bell holes.
