Regrettably for sale my Tag Heuer 180.023 dating to the mid 1980's. This watch is super rare and has attained an almost mythical status.
Stewart Morley did a great write-up and history on his excellent Heuerville blog. And David at Calibre 11 did another great piece with loads of research here.
To truly understand what these watches are about then I'd recommend having a look at both of these articles - they are both great reads! My Spirotechnique is in excellent condition with a uniform and even patina showing on the lume on the hands and dial. The dial itself has turned a lovely slate grey colour. Original Tag Heuer jubilee bracelet in great condition.Recent service and ultrasonic case clean with my certified watch maker - the automatic movement is pristine, all original and running superbly. Even though this was the Tag Heuer's premier top of the range professional diving watch, I do not offer any guarantees concerning it's indestructability at diving depths - it's a vintage watch after all.
It's hard to put a price on these as they are so rare and never featured in any Heuer catalogs and were offered only at select diving stores. The Spirotechnique is a super important piece of Heuer's dive watch history and is the crown in their range of dive watches. I have loved owning and wearing this very unique watch and it's really something to behold on the wrist. The build quality is exceptional, and these like almost all Heuer models in recent years while only go up in value, especially considering the rarity of this particular model.
