The lock that holds the two parts together is NOT broken which adds to the value of the clarinet. White made King clarinets are among the finest metal clarinets ever made. The Silver plate is original and 99% perfect. There is one small spot of plating wear by the serial number. There are a few small scratches but they do not show up in the pictures. The pads and cork are new. Comes with original cork covers. The case is in good shape and is original to the clarinet. Over all, we would rate this King Micro-Sonic Clarinet 99% perfect.
