Best written on a forum The disc with the coloured segments rotates every 24 hours and indicates the tides in conjunction with a hand that sits in the sub-dial. This hand rotates once in a lunar cycle. The hand on the sub-dial indicates the Moonphase by pointing to the correct moon shape outside that dial (the little discs on the quarters). It also indicates the tide state by its position on the segmented sub-dial, when over blue it is high tide and orange is low tide. The additional segment on that hand is divided into hours so you can judge when the next high or low tide will occur.
Simpleor complicated like a good rare mechanical complication should be. Stainless steel, black dial and gilt hands. Super rare and a great talking piece. The condition can best be seen in the photos but as you can see it is pretty incredible with very signs that this watch has ever been worn. The watch is keeping great time with all features working. It is presented on a brown leather strap. PX considered (Omega, Rolex, Breitling, Zenith or any interesting divers watch).
