Vintage Suzuki SSD-136B 6x14 Snare Drum. So, we've reached out to several people who are historically have been able to identify MOST of the drums I have found over the years. So this one dated somewhere between 80-85, we've found this drum to be connected to Tama as during this era they made the similar heads as you'll see in the last photo and the same type of snare and snare straps. Other than that's it's believed to be a one off and Tama cannot find any trace on it other than at some point it's been in the Tama Factory also based on the Model number being close to what they used in the early 80's as well as the types of REMO heads. So I have the original heads and snare.
If your into power punch 6 wood SNSR 4ply and not sure what the wood is but the wrap is a brushed aluminum metal wrap which is totally off the chain. Sounds great live with the new heads and records nice as well. I may just throw it on my snare rack, but unfortunately I just don't have the room. I'm pricing it for a reasonable price, offers welcome but if it doesn't hit the number I'll just hang on to it.
If anyone knows anything about this vintage beast feel free to straighten me out. Best of luck to all you Drum gear heads. It's really not as heavy as it looks the wood is pretty solid and 0 damage to it.
